Based in Vienna, Austria, the Hub encompasses Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Southern Germany, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Switzerland.

The Hub is based at Kreativwirtschaft Austria (KAT), an initiative of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. Located in Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier - one of Europe's most influential cultural districts - KAT provides vital policy insight, deep sector expertise with access to a well-established network across Austria's creative economy.

The South-East & Alps Regional Hub is founded upon a region where tradition and innovation naturally converge. With established pivotal centres such as Vienna, Munich, Ljubljana, Zagreb - along with emerging ecosystems across the Western Balkans - the Hub aims to translate this diversity into a shared platform for innovative sustainable growth. Our core ambition is to connect the cultural and creative sectors with Europe’s wider innovation agenda, focusing specifically on areas where design, technology and environmental practice intersect.
