At EIT Culture & Creativity, we believe culture and creativity are not side activities of society: they are central forces for change. The Transformation Agents programme is a cornerstone of this vision, empowering people to act with courage and strategic insight to build resilient, inclusive and regenerative futures.

Our Transformation Agents programme nurtures individuals who lead systemic change in the cultural and creative sectors. It targets people eager to challenge the status quo, those who want to understand how systems work, how they can evolve and how culture and creativity can drive transformation in society.

Through a combination of immersive learning, peer exchange and practical experimentation, participants explore new ways to shift mindsets, reimagine structures and prototype transformative solutions within their own contexts.

Why this programme matters?

Today’s intertwined social, ecological and technological challenges demand more than innovation. They require transformation. Cultural and creative professionals have a unique capacity to help societies imagine and build regenerative futures.

The Transformation Agents programme develops this capacity by turning creative leaders into strategic systems thinkers who can act as catalysts for long-term change.

What you’ll gain

  • Systems-thinking tools and frameworks: Learn to map complexity, identify leverage points and design interventions that shift entire systems, not just individual projects.
  • Hands-on experimentation: Move ideas from concept to practice through iterative testing, reflection and real-world application.
  • Peer learning and community: Join a growing network of agents in Europe who collaborate, share methods and support one another’s transformation journeys.
  • Mentorship and expert input: Work with leading thinkers and practitioners in culture, creativity, innovation and systems change.
  • Strategic alignment with EIT Culture & Creativity: Contribute directly to Europe’s green, digital and social transitions through cultural and creative innovation.

Who should apply?

The programme welcomes professionals working across culture and creativity such as artists, designers, producers, policy-makers, researchers, educators and innovators who are:

  • Intrigued by system mechanics and their potential for evolution.
  • Ready to challenge existing structures
  • Motivated to lead collaborative, trans-sectorial transformation
  • Interested in embedding cultural and creative practice into societal renewal
