The Ministry of Innovation and Growth of Bulgaria, has recently established an advisory board for Innovation aimed at bolstering the implementation of its strategic initiatives. EIT Culture and Creativity was present and it is honored to have been invited to join this esteemed board and participate in its inaugural meeting, which took place in Sofia on February 29th and March 1st, 2024.

During the meeting, the main points of discussion were thoughtfully organized into three main segments:

  • The discussions centered on leveraging the Ministry’s capacities to foster innovation across industries, including strategies to enhance entrepreneurship, commercialize innovations, and bolster corporate R&D.
  • Additionally, there was a focus on advancing technology transfer, aiming to synergize the efforts of the Technology Transfer Fund (TTF) and Technology Transfer Offices (TTO).

  • Furthermore, attention was directed towards national priorities such as defense, mechatronics, microelectronics, robotics, AI, biotechnology, green technology, energy storage, circular economy, engineering, and metallurgy, with a call for new policies and instruments to drive innovation in these sectors.

Contributing to the advancement of innovation across Europe is our goal.
