Our Regional Ambition

At the heart of our mission is the belief in the transformative power CCSI for boosting well being in the Cities and communities. We see architecture design and technologies at the forefront of this initiative. We are committed to developing sustainable and resilient cities by integrating cultural insights and innovative design principles. Our projects will focus on promoting well being and environmental sustainability.

In collaboration with our host organization Creative Industry Košice (CIKE), we leverage their extensive network and expertise to drive forward initiatives that enhance community engagement and support the local creative economy. CIKE’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the creative sector in Košice provide a solid foundation for our work, ensuring that our projects have a lasting impact on the region.

By fostering cross-sectoral collaboration and supporting artistic and social innovations, EIT Culture & Creativity aims to unlock the latent value of the Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI). Our holistic approach includes technology transfer and the effective integration of diverse stakeholders in production value networks, enhancing the region’s capacity to innovate and adapt.

Meet our team

Michal Hladky acts as Head of the board and interim director of CLC-East within EIT Culture and Creativity. He is the European Creative Business Network co-chair as the EU funding lead. Michal represented Slovakia in the OMC group and was part of a High-level round table on CCIs under commissionaire Gabriel.
