EIT Culture & Creativity is the institutional partnership dedicated to helping European cultural and creative sectors and industries (CCSI) to become more sustainable, resilient and competitive. Launched in 2023 by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, an EU body, we provide access to funding, knowledge and tailored support.

As part of the largest European innovation network, we build lasting connections between research, industry, academia and cultural institutions. We firmly believe that culture and creativity are not luxuries; they are essential infrastructure for resilience, renewal and enduring economic growth.

Whether you are a creative entrepreneur, university, cultural institution, policymaker or an enthusiast passionate about shaping Europe’s future, we invite you to join us.

Our mission, vision and commitment

Our vision is to fundamentally strengthen the CCSI as a vital force for transformation - economically, socially and environmentally.

Our mission is to drive responsible growth in and beyond the CCSI through innovation, education, business creation and societal transformation.

Our first focus is on five key areas: architecture, gaming, fashion, cultural heritage and audio-visual media. We support innovators every step of the way to scale their ideas, translate innovation into impact and redefine what entrepreneurship means today.

How we make it happen

Transform short-term projects into long-term partnerships

  • Cultivate cross-sector collaboration between education, research, business and policy
  • Provide funding models that go beyond traditional cycles
  • Support creatives and organisations of all sizes across all 15 CCSI sectors
  • Position culture as a driver for green, digital and social transformation
  • Create and maintain jobs in a resilient CCSI business environment able to expand and compete in global markets

We turn ambition into action

We provide resources. From access to funding opportunities and targeted support, we help creators, entrepreneurs and cultural innovators scale their projects, income and impact.

We connect people. From Europe-wide events to a dedicated digital platform, we spark partnerships and build a community driven by creativity and collaboration.

We build skills. From professional courses to Masters, PhDs, craft and cutting-edge technology programmes, we provide the knowledge and tools creators need to succeed.

Together, these actions help us position culture as a force for green, digital and social transformation across Europe.
