EIT Innovation Communities are designed as pan-European partnerships that bring together business, research centers and universities with the aim to tackle global challenges Europe faces, e.g. in Climate, Raw Materials, Urban Mobility or Manufacturing. EIT Culture & Creativity’s mission is to support growth, jobs and competitiveness in CCSI to compete on global markets through providing interventions to CCSI and sector-specific challenges in education, innovation and business creation and foster interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration. In this way, EIT Culture and Creativity unlocks the innovative potential of its fragmented ecosystem, contributing to Europe's triple transition and building a new understanding of competitive entrepreneurship. We will focus on the following priority areas, each having its unique challenges and a need for intervention while representing a significant share of the EU CCSI workforce and revenue: Architecture, Audiovisual, Cultural Heritage, Gaming and Fashion.
To represent the diversity of the CCSI stakeholders, from profit to non-for-profit organizations, EIT Culture & Creativity set up a two-strand governance under German law: A nonprofit association (EIT CCSI e.V.) and a Limited Company (EIT Culture & Creativity GmbH), both legally registered in Cologne.
EIT Culture and Creativity GmbH (EIT CC) is funded in the first years by grants of the EIT, while the EIT CCSI e.V. receives membership fees from its partners to provide, under German law tax exempt, services for the CCSI ecosystem. EIT Culture & Creativity aims to become financially sustainable and independent from public grants or membership fees over the course of 15 years. Starting from 2025, EIT CC will execute an investment portfolio approach holding equity in the start-ups and scale-ups that join its various Business Creation and Innovation programmes. In the long term, EIT Culture and Creativity aims to be financially sustainable by the returns from these investments and equity, effectively acting as an impact investor.

EIT STEM Tech Talent Induction Project Manager

ABOUT THE POSITION
EIT Culture & Creativity is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation and coordination of the EIT STEM Tech Talent Induction initiative over a period of 3 years (until 31 December 2028). The EIT STEM Tech Talent Induction initiative is a flagship programme of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). You will be responsible for driving the success and coordinating this high-profile European project, which is implemented in collaboration with EIT Knowledge Innovation Communities (KICs), European Institutions, Training Providers, Enterprises, and learners.
ABOUT THE TASK & MISSION
As EIT STEM Tech Talent Induction Project Manager you will:
- Co-ordinate the strategic development, implementation, and promotion of the EIT STEM Tech Talent initiative, to position it as a benchmark and flagship programme in the European education and skills ecosystem.
- Oversee alignment with the EIT’s strategic goals and European policy priorities around STEM skilling.
- Lead the full initiative, from its transition from EIT DTTI through execution of its ambitious 3-year work plan, monitoring, and reporting, in accordance with EIT requirements.
- Act as central point of contact, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all involved EIT Knowledge Innovation Communities (KICs).
- Develop and manage the project's detailed work plan, ensuring all deliverables (calls for proposals, training programmes, events, reports, etc.) are met on time and within budget.
- Co-ordinate the preparation and submission of all required reports.
- Establish and maintain project management tools, documentation, and processes for effective KPI tracking and measurement.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact the initiative.
- Support the organisation of events, conferences, and dissemination activities to highlight results and impact.
- Organise and chair regular operational meetings and workshops.
THE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your role, you must have:

Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Project Management, Education Management, Innovation Management, Business Administration, Project Management specifically focused on STEM/Engineering, International Relations, or related field.

Experience: At least 5 years of project management experience and at least 3 years of proven professional experience managing complex, international, multi-stakeholder projects, ideally EU-funded. Proven track record of strategic leadership in education, training, or skills development. Experience working with European institutions, industry, and education/training ecosystems. Experience with the EIT ecosystem is an asset. Experience in or strong knowledge of entrepreneurship education/innovation is an asset. Experience with certifications, accreditations, and/or micro-credentials is an asset.

Organisational skills: Capable of managing multiple projects and tasks, ensuring timely and successful delivery, prepare detailed reports, statistics, and insights on annual activity results.

Technical skills: Proficiency in project management software/tools and a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel/spreadsheets and/or dedicated IT tools for data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of website/platform management is an asset.

Language skills: Excellent command of written and spoken English. Additional European languages are an asset.

Interpersonal skills and soft skills: Ability to build relationships and manage negotiations with internal teams and external stakeholders, liaise with diverse stakeholders, including high-level stakeholders, including partners, policymakers, and EIT KICs. Strong analytical and research abilities with strong attention to detail. Excellent team player in diverse, multinational teams. Open and positive attitude. Effective time management and prioritisation under pressure. Strong sense of ownership with proven results. Respectful of deadlines. Proactive, independent, and trustworthy. LOCATION
This position is primarily remote with periodic in-person engagements. Travel is expected. Candidates must live in or be willing to move to one of the countries in which EIT Culture & Creativity is established (HQ or Regional Hub).
