North

Helsinki, Finland

At the North Regional Hub, we are excited to embark on this journey to create a level playing field for the Cultural and Creative Industries.

Our Hub plays a key role in coordinating and strengthening the existing CCSI actors in the region. We invite all interested creative professionals to join us in driving the green, digital, and societal transformation of cultural and creative enterprises.

A Cultural and Creative Powerhouse by the Baltic Sea

The North Regional Hub, covering ten countries around the Baltic Sea, encompasses a rich diversity of cultures—from the indigenous Sámi to highly digitalised urban communities. Strong traditions of storytelling, a deep connection to aesthetics and the natural environment, high levels of education, and both technical and social inventiveness are key characteristics of the cultures in our region.

The area is home to globally successful creative industries, including fashion, crafts and design, gaming, music, and TV & film production, alongside a vibrant start-up scene. The North Regional Hub plays a vital role in enhancing coherence and sharing insights across the CCSI networks throughout this vast region.

Meet our team

Kati Uusi-Rauva, MA in Anthropology, is the Director of the North Regional Hub since 2024. With extensive experience in CCSI business development, export and internationalisation, funding, and product development since the late 1990s, Kati will leverage her networks and expertise to strengthen the CCSI sector at the European level through EIT Culture & Creativity.

You are warmly invited to visit the Regional Hub and meet Kati along with the local team.

I am proud to represent this culturally versatile region, which has strong traditions in several areas of creativity, such as storytelling, music, design and digital innovations. Our primary aim is to strengthen and activate the networks among creatives of our territory, but also to create sustainable careers and businesses in the global economy. EIT CC will bring new opportunities on the European level for co-operation and innovation, as well as for sharing and developing creative know-how and insights.
