North
Helsinki, Finland
The North Regional Hub, covering ten countries around the Baltic Sea, encompasses a rich diversity of cultures—from the indigenous Sámi to highly digitalised urban communities. Strong traditions of storytelling, a deep connection to aesthetics and the natural environment, high levels of education, and both technical and social inventiveness are key characteristics of the cultures in our region.
The area is home to globally successful creative industries, including fashion, crafts and design, gaming, music, and TV & film production, alongside a vibrant start-up scene. The North Regional Hub plays a vital role in enhancing coherence and sharing insights across the CCSI networks throughout this vast region.
Kati Uusi-Rauva, MA in Anthropology, is the Director of the North Regional Hub since 2024. With extensive experience in CCSI business development, export and internationalisation, funding, and product development since the late 1990s, Kati will leverage her networks and expertise to strengthen the CCSI sector at the European level through EIT Culture & Creativity.
You are warmly invited to visit the Regional Hub and meet Kati along with the local team.“We host the largest community of artists, cultural organisations and creative industry actors in Finland and cherish the rich culture of innovation that has taken place in our premises. We consider having CLC North of the new KIC set up its operations at KAAPELI as a natural continuation of this activity”,
Dr. Kai Huotari, Managing Director
