EIT Culture & Creativity Supports Innovation in the Audiovisual Sector at ISE 2025

The Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) event in Barcelona has always been a hub for innovation and collaboration, and this year was no exception.

EIT Culture & Creativity (EIT CC) showcased its commitment to fostering a vibrant ecosystem for startups, scale-ups, and SMEs in the audiovisual sector at this leading event.

We were represented by our Director of Business Creation, Javier Arias, and the director of our Regional Southwest Hub Aurea Rodriguez, underscoring our dedication to growth and innovation in the region.

Investor Forum

One of the highlights of our involvement was our participation in the first ever Investor Forum of ISE. Our own Javier Arias participated in a panel discussion titled “Barcelona’s Thriving Investment Ecosystem: Opportunities for Startups and Investors,” joining key players including representatives from Catalan AV Cluster, MediaPro Experiences, and several promising startups.

During the discussion, Javier emphasised the importance of collaboration in building a robust ecosystem. “Joining forces with other key players in the area is crucial to developing a strong ecosystem that can support startups, scale-ups, and SMEs in the audiovisual sector,” he said. “By working together, we can create an environment where innovation thrives and businesses can grow sustainably.”

Connecting Ventures

EIT Culture& Creativity also made a significant impact as a sponsor at a lounge close to the Pitching Stage.

This strategic location provided startups with a unique opportunity to explore the possibilities of EIT CC’s support through its business creation and partnership programmes. The lounge buzzed with activity as entrepreneurs and investors engaged in meaningful conversations, exploring potential collaborations and investment opportunities.

The First Hackathon at ISE

Another event highlight was EIT CC’s sponsorship of the first hackathon at ISE, developed in cooperation with the world-renowned ESADE Business School.

The hackathon case, conducted in collaboration with the Catalunyan Fashion Cluster, challenged students to develop innovative ideas to increase the visibility of circular fashion practices using audiovisual technologies available at the event. The participants showcased remarkable creativity and ingenuity, presenting solutions that could revolutionize the fashion industry and promote sustainable practices.

A Bright Future for Audiovisual Innovation

EIT Culture & Creativity participation at ISE 2025 highlighted its pivotal role in nurturing a dynamic and supportive ecosystem for startups and SMEs in the audiovisual sector. By sponsoring key events and creating collaboration, EIT CC is paving the way for a future where innovation and sustainability go hand in hand. For startups and investors looking to make their mark in the audiovisual industry, EIT Culture & Creativity offers numerous support opportunities including calls for financial support for innovations, acceleration/post-acceleration programmes, link with investors and more.
