HR Generalist (m/f/d)

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to support the COO and the leadership team in building and executing people management processes. Its focus will be to lead, develop, implement,  and manage people management strategies and procedures including all recruitment and related matters. You will be responsible for designing and implementing the required processes in line with the EU funding guidelines as well as the shared vision of a multi-stakeholder, multi-national, culturally diverse, and inclusive organisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the COO and work in close partnership with the leadership team to prepare and implement HR strategy and policies.
  • Manage all recruitment and employer branding processes for ~60 new hires within 2024. 
  • Operational responsibility for all administrative personnel processes from recruitment to departure. 
  • Creation of employment contracts, contract modifications, supplementary agreements, preparation of work references and certificates etc.
  • Implementation and maintenance of the HR personnel software, management of personnel files. Document comprehensive HR metrics and report to senior management to support strategic decisions.
  • Preparation of the monthly payroll in close collaboration with our payroll service provider and tax consultants.
  • Correspondence with health insurance companies, tax offices and other authorities or third parties maintaining positive relations and compliance and keep up to date with EU employment legislation. 
  • Assistance and resolution of individual employee queries, particularly regarding payroll and social insurance topics.
  • Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures like recruitment, performance management, disciplinary, diversity and inclusion and whistleblowing.
  • Advise managers and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures and train employees about the common HR issues/topics.
  • Ensure employee retention through excellent and reliable HR Service.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven HR expert for at least 3 years with generalist experience
  • Expertise in HR policies and procedures 
  • Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of German employment law
  • Preferred: up-to-date knowledge of EU funding guidelines concerning HR
  • Ability to work autonomously and ability to work well with others
  • Experience of recruitment and interviews 
  • Excellent communication skills in English and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional planning and project management skills and experience
  • Experience of working in international contexts
  • Interest and affinity for the Cultural & Creative Sectors & Industries

  • Perform system administration tasks as necessary.
  • Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery processes are up-to-date and functional.
  • Lead response to data breaches and catastrophic system failure.
  • Degree in computer science or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership position in IT.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and implementation of IT projects.
  • Demonstrate highly collaborative mindset and approach to project implementation.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Experience with cloud computing, network security and data management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills coupled with an innovative mindset.
  • Prior experience or ability to manage a complex IT environment which includes Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure and other applications necessary to deliver EIT Culture & Creativity’s mission.

Community and Engagement Manager (m/f/d)

EIT Culture & Creativity is looking for a highly motivated and innovative community and engagement manager to join our growing company. The aim is to foster collaboration with users and members who are passionate about innovation in the cultural and creative sectors in different online and offline settings. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing communication within our vibrant community, promoting partnership engagement, and moderating different forums.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement innovative offline and online strategies to nurture and expand our dynamic community and engage with its members. Foster a positive environment. You should have a natural flair for finding creative solutions that enhance engagement and collaboration within the community.
  • Create engaging content within the community, including well-crafted posts, eye-catching graphics, and captivating videos. Organise and moderate community events such as chat rounds, etc. Activity and content creation is a vital aspect of community management that keeps members engaged and informed.
  • Facilitate user exchange. Encourage and facilitate active engagement and knowledge exchange among community members on our platform. Promote the exchange of insights between users and strengthen the connection between our community and the EIT Culture & Creativity.
  • Oversee and moderate conversations across various communication channels, ensuring a respectful and positive atmosphere that encourages open discussion and constructive feedback.
  • Act as a liaison between the community and the company, effectively channeling user feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Cooperation with customer service and sales/logistics.
  • Administration of criticism and crisis management in problem situations.
  • Creation of statistics and reports on the community.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media, Public Relations, or a related field, providing a solid foundation for understanding and fostering the cultural and creative sectors.
  • At least two years of work experience as a community builder or engagement officer for companies / institutions or communications agency A keen ability to analyze community trends and provide valuable insights into community engagement. You should be capable of interpreting data to continually refine community development strategies.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A deep understanding and appreciation of Europe’s cultural diversity. You should be able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, demonstrating a high level of sensitivity and awareness towards various communities and groups.
  • English proficiency is a must and fluency in multiple languages could be an asset for effectively engaging with a broader range of stakeholders. 
  • Confident handling of common MS Office tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
